i made it :)
we boarded at 2:40pm in seattle. nine hour and 30 mn flight to frankfurt germany--which wasn't that bad actually. each seat had its own tv :) i saw confessions of a shopaholic- super cute
and the airplane food was considerably ok-surprise
we had a layover in germany for 6 hours...i finally fell asleep for like and 1.5 hours then we had the 1.5 hr flight to rome which i slept too.
then we took a charter bus to our hotel!
insane driving here! there are no lines on the road and busses cars and scooters all weave and try to get ahead of one another. hahaha so crazy :)
our hotel is so central its crazy.
we dropped of our stuff and ventured out in small groups to find dinner. me and some girls ate at our first authentic italian pizza parlor! so good :) mne was zucchini and bell pepper and mushroom. the cty is incredible---it feels like im n the pictures i've drooled over for years! hard to believe its real!
well i getting really tired now...but up for like...hummm...30 hours?? :/
tomorrow we have a huge scavenger hunt that "will take us all day to do" :D yay!
ill try to write again tomorrow..we have pretty reliable wifi for limited hours in the hotel.
mom and dad--just so you know. our hotel is very secure. locks everywhere, private courtyard, private bathroom (all be it small) etc. so no worries :)

Anyway, lets shed light on the movie you watched! How nice, ecspecially before you go to ROME!! ha. and, the food already sounds delish! And your hotel sounds incredible...I cannot wait to see pictures of it!!! Ah :) I just love you SO much....and love love love these updates :) (love the details!) ReplyDeletemmk. So my classes are ADORABLE. the kids, are SO cute! I have two 1 year olds in my first one(which is a parent/ child class!). and then four 6 year olds, and THEN. I have my favorite class, six 3 year olds! They are all just so cute! oh and my assistant teacher, let me just tell you about her...bright pink dreadlocks. bright purple tights under her swim suit and big clear goggles. (Let the mental picture form:)) ha. and then, she has a really scratchy voice and has some really crazy stories! Keeping things super interesting...I <3 it! :)

I have something SO GREAT to tell you. Guess what I am doing, starting in the September (besides living with you!!) ...
I am volunteering at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis!!!! For three hours per week (but I'll most likely do more!) I will be holding newborn babies. rocking them. and feeding them. OH MY GOODNESSSS!!!! I am just so EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! :)) how amazing does that sound! and I will also get to play with kids that are going through therapy...I am just really looking forward to it!

I am going to a bridal shower tomorrow (Wed) night for Holly Johnson... she is getting remarried July 3.
