So I came with a large duffel bag half full and I just packed the same bag and could hardly close the zipper! lol.
In about 4 hours we are heading to the airport to fly back to the US. I can't believe its been a month!
My last day in Rome has been a good one. It began with coffee at our usual place, where we said goodbye to grandpa who makes our lattes everyday through a broken conversation of phrasebook phrases on our part and a picture of us all together. Then all us girls went to the beach in Ostia for the afternoon; swan in the Mediterranean Sea and basked in the sun one last time. We came back into the city and got all spiffy for the group farewell dinner. It was very nice seemed fitting. Now i just got all packed up and we are going to go wander and stay occupied until 3:45am when we take off to the airport. At 6:45am I plan to finally fall asleep upright in a fake leather plane seat and wake 9 hours later in Seattle (fingers crossed).
Thanks for all the notes while I've been here; each one meant the world to me. I'm looking forward to seeing many of you in person very soon!
